Meet Our Staff

James is a CPA with over twenty-eight years of experience in providing clients with the best possible advice to assist in making important and valuable financial goals and decisions.  James is devoted to one-on-one service, working diligently by treating each return as if it were his own.

Mr. Cannon is a graduate of Kennesaw State University with a BBA in Accounting.  He began his career in 1991 as an accountant at Jack Hirsh & Company, an Atlanta-based CPA firm.  In 1993, James opened his own practice in Canton.

 James enjoys reading, construction design and having lunch in the park named for his late father, Mayor James A. Cannon. 

Carol is a graduate of Cassville High School and attended North Metro Tech studying Accounting and also obtained a Commercial Driving License.  Carol served in the US Army and Army Reserves from 1978-1991.  

Carol now enjoys spending time with her husband, of 36 years, her two daughters and four grandchildren.  She loves to garden, go kayaking and roller skating.

James and Dee Cannon have been happily married seven years.  Each suffered the loss of their spouses to cancer, after two 1/2 decades of marriage, and were caregivers during the years of declining health.

They now enjoy travel, each other's company and share a tremendous faith.

 Edie is a graduate of Duke University with a B.A. in Management Sciences and a specialization in Accounting. She has 15 years experience in public accounting, with an emphasis on individual, corporate, and partnership tax return preparation.
Edie and her husband, a tax attorney, have been married for 37 years and have two adult daughters. She is very involved in her church and as a community volunteer, and she has frequently served on the boards of directors and in leadership capacities for many nonprofit nizations. 

As Chairman of the Building Committee at Canton First United Methodist Church, James took a "hands on" approach to overseeing the Scantuary Construction Project.
